Terms and Conditions for Open Competitions
- Competition Overview
Competitions are open to all eligible participants. Specific details regarding the format of the competition (e.g., Stableford), age requirements, and other relevant criteria will be provided in the event announcement.
- Age Divisions (if applicable)
If the competition includes age divisions, participants will be grouped based on their age on the competition date. Age categories will be determined after the registration process is completed and will be communicated accordingly.
- Entry Process
- Entry is available via the club website or the Scottish Golf app.
- Participants may be asked to select a preferred timeslot or event option when registering, if applicable.
- While every effort will be made to accommodate preferred timeslots, they are not guaranteed. Entry times will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Entry Fees
- All entry fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. No entries will be accepted without payment.
- All entry fees are non-refundable, except as outlined in the Withdrawal Policy below.
- Withdrawal Policy
Participants may withdraw from the competition and receive a full refund if they do so before the specified deadline, typically [two weeks] prior to the competition date. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via [email/website] to the event organiser.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling
In the event that the competition is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants' entry fees will be transferred to the new date or converted into a credit for future competitions. This credit will remain valid for a period of 12 months. Should participants be unable to attend the rescheduled event, they may apply this credit towards entry fees for subsequent competitions at Millport Golf Club.
- Force Majeure Clause
The event organiser will not be liable for any delay, postponement, or cancellation of the competition due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
In such cases:
- The competition will be rescheduled to a future date, with all entry fees carried over.
- Participants unable to attend the rescheduled event will have their entry fee held as credit for 12 months.
- No refunds will be provided, except at the discretion of the organiser in exceptional circumstances.
- Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions
By entering the competition, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, including provisions regarding entry fees, withdrawals, cancellations, and force majeure. Participants also agree to follow all other rules and regulations as set by the event organiser.
